Our HDPE drainage pipe range covers double-wall corrugated (DWC) pipe for gravity applications and solid-wall pipe where pressure or fusion jointing is required. Corrugated pipe gives high ring stiffness at low weight, which cuts freight cost and lets a two-person crew handle DN600 sections without lifting gear.

Ring stiffness classes SN4, SN8 and SN16 are available, with socket-and-spigot rubber ring joints or electrofusion sleeves. For culvert and detention systems we also supply perforated pipe, geotextile-wrapped assemblies and matching manholes fabricated in-house.

SN4 is not produced above DN/ID 400 — at that diameter the wall needed for SN4 is thin enough that handling damage, not burial load, becomes the limit. Ask if you need a class not shown.

Frequently asked questions

Which ring stiffness class do I need — SN4, SN8 or SN16?
It follows burial depth and the load above. SN4 suits shallow, non-trafficked runs; SN8 is the usual choice under roads and is what most municipal specifications call for; SN16 is for deep burial or heavy axle loads. Bedding quality matters as much as the class — a well-compacted surround lets a lower class perform better than a poor one raises it.
Corrugated or solid wall?
Corrugated gives high ring stiffness at low weight and is cheaper for gravity flow, which covers most drainage. Choose solid wall when the line needs to hold pressure, when it will be fusion jointed into a continuous string, or when a smooth bore matters for cleaning and CCTV survey.
Are the rubber ring joints watertight?
They are rated for the low heads gravity systems see and are tested to the joint standard, but they are a mechanical seal, not a fused one. Where infiltration or exfiltration is the governing requirement — near groundwater, or in contaminated ground — specify electrofusion sleeves or solid-wall pipe with butt fusion instead.
